If the light bulb breaks in the socket, the first thing you want to do is turn off the power. You can do this by flipping the switch on the wall or by pulling the plug from the outlet. Once the power is off, you will need to remove the broken light bulb. You can do this by gently twisting it counterclockwise. Be careful not to touch the broken glass, as it can cause cuts and injuries. If you have gloves on, you can use them to remove the bulb. Alternatively, you can cut a potato in half and push that into the broken glass and then turn and remove the bulb. Once the bulb is removed, dispose of it in a safe place.

Step Two: Cleanup Any Glass

Now that the broken bulb is out, you will want to clean up any glass that may be left in the socket. You can do this by using a damp cloth or a vacuum cleaner with the hose attachment. Make sure to be careful not to cut yourself on any of the glass.

Step Three: Replace The Light Bulb

If you follow these steps, you can safely remove a broken light bulb from the socket. Be careful not to touch the broken glass and always use caution when cleaning up any messes.
